Robotics
Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots. Robotics learning has a wonderful effect in generating a child’s interest in STEM subjects. It emphasizes on practical learning rather than theoretical rote memorization. This is the field of technology which incorporate creativity and fun simultaneously along with technical knowledge. Children can learn to design and create amazing machines and devices just by using their creativity.
Abacus
ABACUS is one of the best tools, which enhances the concentration level of children. It is one of the in-demand programs for schools as one of the leading fun loving activity for children for fast calculations in Math. It increases the overall ability in a child, sharpens brain, is an exercise tool for the brain, teaches speed and accuracy in Mathematics, makes the kid good at academics, activates the brain sensors, promotes photographic memory and improves child’s logical reasoning power.
Foreign Languages
The study of Foreign language strongly reinforces the core subject areas of reading and literacy. Foreign language learners consistently outperform control groups in core subject areas on standardized tests, The cognitive benefits of learning a language have a direct impact on a child’s academic achievement which helps them score higher on standardized tests.
Clubs-
The clubs are organized to give Jainites an opportunity to meet and get benefited by sharing their interest with each other; to give them an opportunity to showcase and hone up their talents and also prepare them for intra and inter school competitions. The clubs are highly productive as the students get opportunities to explore new things, to get creative and think out of the box.
Math Club
Math club are dedicated events that breathe new life into Math, beyond the classroom. They come in all shapes and sizes and focus on two things: having fun with Math and learning it. These clubs raise the profile of Math as a subject, increase engagement and show that Math can be fun, exciting and full of wonder. Holding regular meeting of the students at the club lets them take off the curriculum jacket and work more informally with children while engaging them in a variety of mathematical activities.
Eco club
Eco clubs empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out, influence, and engage the communities to promote sound environmental behavior. Eco Clubs play an important role in creating environmental awareness amongst the future generation and educate students to create awareness amongst public so as to stop the indiscriminate harm to the environment and perform activities to save the environment like planting trees, poster competitions, promoting usage of organic substances on various occasions and festivals.
Drama Club
Drama Club is a process-oriented club in which Jainites rehearse and perform a scripted play, The basics of stagecraft, self-discipline and the importance of hard work, creativity and imaginative play, listening and observation skills, and self-confidence are a major part of the club.
Drama is one of the most effective ways to develop soft skills and emotional intelligence in children. Drama promotes communication skills, teamwork, dialogue, negotiation, socialization. It stimulates imagination and creativity. It allows the development of critical thinking and helps in taking better and more conscious decisions.
Literary Club
The Literary club is committed to tap effective communication talent among Jainites; poised to enable the talents with cutting edge; to develop and hone the literary skills , and to inspire them to develop a taste for literature. It also works in the direction of expanding their horizon of spoken and written language and is based upon using the creativity skills it takes to be a writer. The club meets regularly to discuss books and the art of writing.
Astronomy Club
This club gives the students an opportunity to know more about the celestial objects. These are the building blocks for preserving a passion and interest amongst students. Providing proper resources and information to the curious minds is the stepping stone in the making of future astronomers and scientists. The main objective of this club is to stimulate students’ curiosity on questioning and exploring the mysterious nature of the universe and to update the darkest secrets of universe by talks of eminent personalities, Workshops, star gazing sessions and visit to observatory centres.
Co-curricular Activities
Yoga
Yoga, as an ancient system of exercise, has a great potential to teach Jainites to be mindful of factors that impact their health and improve their total well-being.. Triangulation of the data has provided solid evidence suggesting that yoga-based activities produced perceived benefits in such areas as mental well-being, social well-being, physical well-being, and daily behaviour.
Art
Art develops critical thinking skills, personal creativity and nonlinear solutions to problems when integrated with other subjects it leads to better assimilation. It is said that kids who have access to arts learn skills like decision making, problem-solving, communication, more easily. Art plays an important role in development of fine motor skills, enhances dexterity improves hand-eye coordination, enhances creativity, memory and visual learning among the children of younger age. Hence, art is pertinent in the academic curriculum at all levels at Jain Public School.
Music
Music education is a great way to enhance reading comprehension abilities in children. Students who actively participate in music classes have better speech processing abilities along with higher reading scores. Various studies have found that engagement with music can lead to an improvement in brain development in children. Jainites’ skills in music are honed up by professionally trained faculty.
Dance
Children at school are more receptive to the process of learning and using dance as a medium of physical activity, expression of emotions and creativity. Jainites gain a multitude of important developments; sensory and spatial awareness, coordination, concentration and mobility through regular dance classes making them more focused, motivated and disciplined.
Sports
Sports develop physical as well as mental strength in students. Daily physical exercise is essential for students because exercise not only helps students to stay healthy, but it also helps to improve their emotional fitness.
Sports are a major part of the Jainites’ school life as it enables them to stay emotionally and physically healthy to easily focus on their studies. Students need to participate in school sports to increase confidence, mental alertness, and self-esteem. Sports are important in Jain public School as it helps to teach various skills to students like leadership, patience, team efforts, and social skills.
Students here are trained in a variety of sports like Basket-ball, Throw-ball, Cricket and Table-Tennis both theoretically and practically. Children are exposed to various other games that are scientifically structured and organized, age appropriately.
Inter house Competitions
The inter – house competitions give all students the opportunity to participate in various literary and cultural activities with the aim of raising self-esteem, developing self-confidence and giving opportunities for leadership and teamwork.
Gymnastics
Gymnastics is a sport that includes physical exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, dedication and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups.
